Alexander lay there in the soft dark green grass of Hyde Park as he stared up at the colors the setting sun was producing. What minimal clouds there was in the sky on such a rare occasion was mesmerizing as he flitted his blue green eyes from one bright sherbet orange swatch to a dark pastel pink. Come to think of it, he'd been laying on his back in the grass for so long he was sure he'd stained his white tank top and loose faded blue jeans. He had a blue bandanna holding back the messy mop of hair he possessed while he lifted a cigarette from his his full lips; a scar running from top to bottom of the right side of his lip- blowing the toxin smoke into the air.
It calmed his wound up nerves while one white scarred arm lifted up to push back a lock of hair that had fallen into his eye. The tattoos stretched across flexing muscles while he relaxed his arms across his chest; crossing his boot covered ankles as well. Everything about him screamed alpha male..perhaps that was why he was the alpha. Not only that, the alpha gave off a specific scent that could only be described as musky, spicy, and masculine. However, on an afternoon like this Alex was in no state of mind to be aggressive. He was his normal laid back self while he enjoyed the silence of solitude, nursing a freshly lit cigarette as his peculiar eyes continued to watch the deepening sky in hues.

Sunset was the sign of the beginning of another new day for Raphael and some other vampires, very limited amount of them, that still refused to come out during the days. Of course nowadays they could walk under the sun just fine, but there were some old families that preferred the old way and one of those families was Raphael's. Oh yes, he was born to one of the most ancient family of Vampires ever walk this earth, and so he was raised as a little prince; everything he wanted, he will be given. He had the best and only the best, making this beautiful blue eyed young man as vain and selfish as he could get. No one ever try to change him, for it was unnecessary--his life was simple; to find a vampiress of the equally powerful family, marry her, reproduce, and then sleep until he wishes to wake up again.
The only problem now was, well at least for his family, it was not as easy as planned, to find a possible spouse for their only son. He might be pompous and arrogant, but that still couldn't hide the fact he was also feminine. Not in a way he would start wearing make-ups, though there was nothing wrong with that, but in the way no matter what he tried, he couldn't be as muscular as the other vampires, nor as manly. He has soft face, with high cheekbones and full lips, not to mention impossibly thick, long eyelashes framed his brilliant blue eyes. With so fair complexion, he could be mistaken as a very boyish girl--and none of the other families want this trait from a son in law.
He was not an ideal Vampire by the old family standards, and too stuck up for the middle-families... so now he was stuck. But like always Raphe paid only a little to no attention to that; he rather enjoying himself, spending his time laying by the bank of Seprentine, the biggest lake that separated the Hyde Park into two parts, under a tree, reading. Of course, he paid only a little attention to passerbys, until he smelled smoke from the smoking guy not too far from him. The Vampire huffed loudly, to show his discomfort, and it was right then when he smelled something else.
"...Dogs" he muttered, so loud the man must have heard him, "fleas of the society..."

As the bright colors of the sky started to fade to more darker tones, the setting sun turning a violent red as it made the horizon seem as if on fire; Alexander's peace was shortly interrupted. He was used to his sensitive ears picking up on other's disgruntled noises by his smoking. However, he didn't give a damn. It was all part of his attitude this new found war had brought upon most of the guard, not only his kind either. The last time he'd spoken with the other generals, they too had adopted attitudes similar to his. Yet, it wasn't until the fatal words hit his hearing range and made him see red- which, might have been the sunset..
Alexander took a long drag, preparing his nerves before he licked his index finger and thumb, placing them on the cherry of the cancerous stick with barely any sting of pain. He casually brought himself to his feet, dusted off the debris of the ground and practically strolled over to where the younger man was resting. His thick British accent was laced in a light hearted tone, however, it was the words that spoke true. It only clashed with the somewhat amused expression on his handsome features, easily mistaken for an impressed one.
"Fleas of society.." He echoed slowly, measuring out each word as if for judgement. "I have to give you credit," He began again, turning his peculiar eyes down on the man. "For an arrogant little prick..you sure are creative with your insults." The venom shown true in his voice while he looked the man up and down, sizing him up. Once he was down, Alexander sneered.
"I should have guessed..Your an aristocrat aren't you..Why don't you run home to Mummy and Daddy before you get bit by a Dog."

Raphe smirked amusedly as he watched the Therian got up after putting out the cigarette. Oh yes, he hated Therians, just like his parents and the rest of the family. For them these Wolf Therians were just fleas they can't seem to crush, due to those centuries old treaties and friendship between majority of his kind and theirs. He continued watching the wolf, purposely staring into his eyes as to challenge him, before shook his head as he heard his compliment about his, ah, insult. "This is the first time I found out that a flea could talk back... thank you for letting me know" he said.
Arrogant little prick. Well that was definitely not the first time he was called that way, and even if he did not like the name he did not show it. Raphael simply smiled sickingly sweet at the Wolf even while the other man was obviously measuring him up. A sneer appeared on his face as he heard his comment about him being an aristocrat and that he should run home to his mummy and daddy before he get bitten by a dog.
"Thank you for your concern, Dog, but I won't be so worried about others, if I were you" Raphe said, as he closed the book he had just opened and not yet read, "for we all know which one of us is equipped with bigger tool for... ah, bite-job."

There was nothing more that fueled a man like Alexanders' fire than the words this younger male was directing at him now. Not that many centuries ago had the three Kins been mortal enemies. Always fighting each other out of a hate that not one either side quite knew where it had come from. It wasn't until the 19th century that the first council had been created, causing all three kins to bury the hatchet and begin a new age of brotherhood. Of coarse, most of the older families still had that hate etched deeply into their blood. No doubt this man had come from one of those families. Hell, Alexander had himself. He was, after all, named after a famous Macedonian king in hopes that he would live up to the name he'd been assigned at birth. Although, Alex himself wasn't exactly in his families good favor seeing as he refused to uphold the old prejudices. The only thing keeping him from being disowned, was his general title.
Smiling, Xander placed his hands deep into his pockets before choosing a careful response amongst the other more derogatory ones, "Well then, I'm sure your familiar with the term bite me." and with that he turned sharply on his heal and started to walk away. He had every intention of putting as much distance between him and the man as possible. However, something drifted into his mind after he'd take no more than a few steps..Looking over his shoulder, he cut his eyes suspiciously at him. He knew who he was and it had only just come to him. He knew more about what this man's fate should have been probably more than the vampire knew himself.
"I know you.." He said, turning to face him again. "Your features are quite exotic are they not? Attractive none the less but..too womanly for most families am I right? Judging by your appearance I'm guessing your at the age that you should be looking for a respectable wife..However..you should have engaged in an arranged marriage years ago correct?" Alexander paused as the image of a beautiful young woman momentarily clouded his mind. "And yet, you remain unwed..tsk tsk tsk. How long do you think it is you have before you lose your respectable title? Not long I imagine.."
Here, Alexander looked him dead in the eye, "And once you fall from grace, then perhaps, you'll show a little more gratitude when your in the presence of a General." He nearly spat, "After all, I don't see you risking and losing your life to keep not only your kind, but others safe." Yeah, he had a lot of pent up anger that was for sure. But, he was sure this man had no idea he was in the presence of the very Therian that was the reason why his arranged marriage had failed so many years ago.

"I would gladly bite anyone but dogs" Raphe hissed back, "the smell of wet fur is not very appealing to me... but maybe you are already too much used to it to notice." He too opened his book back as the annoying flea retreated, but before anything, he already returned again this time saying he knew him! Whatever he wanted to say to him was caught in his throat as he listened; the guy knew him, he knew who he was and why he was not yet to marry to continue the family line... He bit his lips at the realization that there were people knew such thing about him; and he was a General!?
"You... you are Alexander Scott?" Oh god please no! Not only the Therian knew about him he was also pissed a Therian General! He shook his head, this so can't happen! He had made his family fell from grace for getting repeatedly rejected while trying to find him a bride, and now this... his family did not need this. But still, even the knowledge that he was a Therian General did not make Raphe willing to beg forgiveness from a dog.
"So... I take it you will punish me now, since I called you names?" Raphe asked, though he kept that smug, better-than-you air around him even after knowing who the person really was. He will never bent for anyone... especially a Therian, General or not.
