Okay well, first of all, this is a role playing site so we're not going to water it down with pointless and discouraging "rules"..Think of these more like guidelines so we can all have a fun place to really get our ideas out here. Remember, rules in green are rules by ProBoards. Basically those are the ones OTB will be cracking down on. We want to keep this board alive so it's only fair if we all do our part to keep it open. We don't like the rules anymore than you do, but, it's the way things go.
1) No God-Modding guys. If your not sure what god modding is, send one of the Staff a pm about it and they'll get back to you with an example. If you are found god modding in a thread, a staff member will notify you of it and you will just be given a verbal warning to let you know it was god modding. If you are given permission to god mod them state so in OOC(out of character).
2) No Sexual Content. Okay yeah I know, but unfortunately this is the way it is. We have younger members and ProBoards can get into a LOT of trouble as well as it will put our board at jeopardy. So, if you know that your board will contain sexual content you MUST state that your thread is rated M (mature) or R or whatever in the thread title. Just make it clear that it contains sexual content.
3) No spam! We have a designated board titled 'Advertising' for that such thing. Use it. If you are caught spamming outside of that board, you will receive a verbal warning. Second offense is 50% warning. 3rd strike is another verbal warning and 75% warning. 4th strike. Your out.
4) Be Respectful. This is a general rule of manners. Please, don't use excessive swearing in the cbox and don't fight with other members OOC. Offenses will be given a 3 strike warning.
5) Try to avoid one liners. You wont be warned or punished for one liners but this is just a general politeness that should be followed. If your not sure of how to respond try to add some detail about whats happening around the character. Colors, sounds, their inner thoughts. If your still not sure, ask for some ideas!
See? That's it! No harsh rules just some general guidelines to follow so we all don't get in trouble. Remember, it only takes one person to ruin it all for the rest of us so please, be courteous and try to follow the guidelines. If your ever not sure about something, contact one of the staff and they'll be happy to help. It's what we're here for! Use us!
Sincerely,
Alexander Scott
